The Felix SB has been the main project this year and as a result of the efforts by all the NABS team she is nearly complete.On Sunday 19 November we decided to take her for a test run around the GCRN car park.
Work so far completed this year includes the following; new flooring, seats refitted, rebuilt entrance door, drivers door refurb, new rear tyres, repair fuel tank, refitting trim and insert and various mechanical jobs on the engine and brakes. Among the jobs still to be done include rebuilding luggage compartment door and finishing the dashboard.
Our springtime road transport collection event is on the 23rd April . Trucks, buses and cars from yesteryear are displayed and trade stands offer the chance to purchase models and artefacts for your own collections.
Some bus slides have recently been donated to our collection including several Barton and South Notts vehicles. One of which shows our very own DJF 349 in Barton livery at Kegworth depot.
Sunday 25th September saw Showbus at Donington Park for the first time. Also included in the event was the Barton fleet review which saw several of our Barton vehicles along with other visiting Bartons line up at Chilwell Depot with all of the Barton family owned buses. One particular bus which has only just appeared on the road for the first time in many years was number 467 JNN 384 a Leyland Titan PD1 with Duple bodywork from 1947.

On Sunday 9th October we will be having our end of season rally and invite any bus owners to visit with their vehicle (no need to book and no entry fee).
We also hope to have vintage buses running to local picturesque destinations and entrance is completely FREE. Remember, you can now access us direct from Nottingham with the Nottingham City Transport 10C service.
On Saturday we took the open topper to the Splendour festival at Wollaton Park for use by Notts Tv as an interview bus.

After many months of being out of action 507 is back on the road. Come and see it lined up with 509 and 580 at our running day event on the 17th July.
Work is continuing steadily on 248 and the upper deck repainting has almost been completed.
On Saturday 7th May 854 attended the opening of the new bus station at Leicester Haymarket. Along with other buses from the Leicester Transport Heritage Trust, 854 ran trips to Abbey Pumping Station Museum.
